Osu!

I developed the SABAKI CHALLENGE for the benefit of fighters. Not merely for the opportunity to compete, once a year, against other elite fighters from all over the world, but as a guide for the serious martial artist who wishes to focus his training efforts and challenge himself every day that he walks into the dojo. In my mind, the goal is not limited to that one day when he steps onto the mat, under the lights, in front of a crowd, and tests his skills against a fellow karateka. It is the perseverance, the dedication, the self-imposed discipline which he develops one kick at a time, one day at a time, one plateau after another in his training. I hope every fighter is able to give everything they have to this experience, but more importantly I hope that win or lose, they are able to learn something from participating. This is the gift that SABAKI CHALLENGE gives to every participant and something that the fighters earn.
